Link two nouns with と
You know weekdays and simple noun sentences. Say 火曜日と木曜日です and decide: are these two separate days or every day in between? The correct answer is two named days.
1. と goes between two nouns
A noun names a person, object, day, language, or other concept. Here, と links two such nouns into a closed list: A と B. 火曜日と木曜日 names Tuesday and Thursday. 日本語と英語 names Japanese and English. と goes directly between the two items; there is no second と immediately before です.
The whole block can be the information in a noun sentence: 授業は火曜日と木曜日です. Break it down as 授業は ‘as for class’ + 火曜日と木曜日 ‘Tuesday and Thursday’ + です. This lesson links nouns only; you do not need to change any verb form.

2. A list as an answer
To 休みは何曜日ですか, you can answer 土曜日と日曜日です. The question establishes the topic, so the short answer need not repeat 休みは. There is one です at the end of the complete list.
In a full statement, put the list after は: 休みは土曜日と日曜日です. Do not repeat です after each item. 土曜日ですと日曜日です does not form the simple single list targeted here.

3. List, ‘also’, or range
A と B explicitly names A and B as two items. A も means that A also applies in context, but も is not a linker between two nouns. Thus 月曜日と金曜日 means ‘Monday and Friday’; it says nothing about Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
A から B まで marks a continuous range from start to endpoint. 九時から十二時まで is from nine until twelve. 火曜日と木曜日 names two separate days. Choose the form based on meaning, not merely because English mentions two elements in both cases.
4. Link matching nouns
You can use と between objects, languages, people, weekdays, and dates: ノートとペン, 日本語と英語, 学生と先生, 土曜日と日曜日, 四月七日と九月二十日. In every example, both sides remain nouns or noun phrases.
This lesson does not teach と as a quotation marker or as part of a verb pattern. Therefore, do not build longer actions in this exercise. A short noun sentence with です is enough to use the list meaningfully.

5. A schedule with two days
Ask with 何曜日 for the days of a fictional class, meeting, or part-time job. Then answer with exactly two days. Context may indicate that more than one item will follow; the question form itself stays the same.
Use the existing listening exercises to recognise と first and the existing puzzle to order the four blocks 日本語 + と + 英語 + です. Then return and make your own new pair.
